10 months with her... journal quilt August 2010.

10 MESES CON ELLA, MI JOURNAL QUILT, AGOSTO DEL 2010, QUE RAPIDO SE VA EL TIEMPO, YA 10 MESES CON ELLA, Y LA LUNA SIEMPRE OBSERVANDO, SOLO DOS MESES MAS Y TERMINARE ESTE CICLO, AUNQUE YA TENGO ALGUNAS IDEAS PARA EL PROXIMO CICLO DE UNA NUEVA SERIE DE JOURNAL QUILTS, AUN NO QUIERO PENSAR MAS EN ELLAS, PRIMERO TERMINAR ESTA. COMO SERA EL FINAL, AUN NO LO SE, FALTAN SEPTIEMBRE Y OCTUBRE, QUE TRAIRAN A MI VIDA, YA LES IRE CONTANDO. ESTE AÑO NO HA SIDO MUY FACIL PARA MI, AUNQUE SI GRANDES ALEGRIAS Y MUCHA TRANQUILIDAD PERSONAL. Y MUCHO APRENDIZAJE DE PACIENCIA.
LAS DEJO AHORA, QUE DISFRUTEN DE UN MUY BUEN DOMINGO.

10 months with it... my journal quilt, August 2010, how fast the time goes by, I began it 10 months ago, and the moon always watching me, only two monts to go and I will finish this cicle, even I have began to think on new ideas for the next year, I want to finish this one first. Just two more months, September and October, what they will bring me. I will tell you then. This has been a little though year for me, but it has brought me big joys, inner quiet, and I have learn how to be patience.

Mi Journal Quilt... después de seis meses, me encantó la idea de hacer estas mini colchas cada mes, aquí les comparto, amigas blogeras, el poder ver con la ayuda digital, ver como se verá cuando me ponga a unirla. Ya puedo decirles, que tengo ganas de verla completa. Seis meses más para trabajar con ella.

Esta semana ha estado llena de mágia, primero una de mis ilustraciónes en un blog importante sobre ilustraciones y ahora... Jenclair ha puesto mi Journal Quilt...six months later, como una de sus favoritas. No es fantastico!!!! Gracias Jenclair

My Journal Quilt... six months later, from the begining I was so happy with this project, I wanted to see how it will look when I sew them together, the first one looks like a poster, isnt it, the second one, looks like old time quilt, Im looking foward how it will look like a whole year. Need to wait for another six months...

Post update... this week has been fantastic for me, first one of my illustrations was posted in a very important blog, and this morning Jenclair chose my Journal Quilt... six months later as one of her favorites. this is so fantastic. thanks so much Jenclair

Always with a young heart, journal quilt

Siempre con un corazón joven,
Journal quilt.

Durante el mes de abril, en México celebramos el día del niño, mañana, día 30, para seguir con mis "Journal quilts", el tema para este mes es la importancia de mantener nuestro corazón y espíritu siempre joven y alegre, como los niños son.
Esta vez probé hacer una colchita tejida, y no cosida, me cuesta trabajo hacerlo, ya que las telas al no ser cosidas, se deshilachan mucho, pero probar nuevas técnicas es el propósito de estas pequeñas quilts, de manera que aquí la tienen, mi alegre perrito teniendo su diversión diaria, saltando enfrente a la luna llena, a la cual le hace cosquillas.
Realmente me gusta el trabajo de acolchado tejido que Jude Hill hace, pasen por su blog en donde encontraran obras maravillosas.

In Mexico we celebrate the childrens day tomorrow, April 30th, I made this journal quilt with this day in my mind, the importance to keep our hearts and spirit for always young and with the joy childrens live every day.
This time, I made a waved quilt, this is something I never had made before, I dont like how the cloths are not sew together, but as the main purpose of this quilts is try new thecnichs, well I give it a try, for this month, my little alway happy dog jumps in front of the full moon,
I really admire Jude Hill and her amazing quilted work, she makes the most wonderful wave quilts.

Febrero 14, Luna llena, perfecto para ésta journal quilt, me doy cuenta, que últimamente he trabajado con las emociones, sí, así es, estoy haciendo esta pequeña colección de Journal quilts , muy apegada a lo qué cada mes, estoy viviendo, y me gusta mucho, verlas ya juntas unas con las otras, como se va formando la historia, probando nuevas técnicas y utilizando puntadas diferentes, cuantos cambios, y cuantas emociones.
Para todas ustedes, un corazón lleno de significado.

February 14th, Full Moon, the day is perfect to post my new Journal quilt, and share it here with all of you, I came to the point to acept that Im quilting with emotions, every month, has been a different one, this month, Love, to have company in life, and share every day, every adventure,

I have been trying different stiches, thecnics and I like what is comming up from these little Journal quilts, the story of this little dog and its relationship with the moon, every month there is something new in its life, tonight, the moon is happy to see the little one with its beloved, and when they are not looking, the moon with pleasure give them Love.

Qué mejor manera de comenzar el 2010 con una Luna Azul, no creen?, la luna siempre me ha encantado, y ahora que estoy haciendo mis mini quilt mensuales, me he fijado en la luna, casi podría decir que estoy contando mi historia con la luna en mi mente, pues bien, esta Journal quilt es de Diciembre 2009, el mes de la Luna Azul, en donde el pequeño perrito les lleva de regalo una estrella, y las dos lunas abren sus ojos y sonríen levemente....

Para ustedes, mis amigos y seguidores, la mejor manera de comenzar un nuevo año, con trabajo, sueños, y alegría,

What a better way to start 2010 with a Blue Moon, I have always been facinaded by the moon, and now Im working on my Journal Quilts, and in last two, the moon has been on them, Im telling a story with the moon in my mind, for December 2009 I made this Journal Quilt, where the little pink dog gives a star as a present for the two moons, and they....... they smile to it .

My first jounal quilt

Despues de visitar algunos blogs, frecuentemente me encontraba que hacian referencia a las Journal quilts, de manera, que como soy curiosa, me puse a averiguar que eran, y me encontre con la interesante idea, deben de medir 8 y media pulgadas por 11 pulgadas, y cada mes, deben de hacerse con el objeto de intentar algun metodo nuevo, al final del ano, se pueden unir y hacer una colcha, de esta manera, se vera como se ha desarrollado la persona que la esta haciendo.
Por lo que me di a la tarea de empezar mi propia colcha Journal. Octubre, y como tecnica nueva, el acolchado a maquina, y los nueve parches en la casa, solo rasgue la tela y la entreteji, para armar los 9 parches, la aplique con el acolchado y deje las orillas deshilachadas.
Y ustedes, se animan a empezar la suya?
Si ya la estan haciendo, dejenme un comentario, pues de esa manera, las puedo visitar en su blog, lo cual me dara mucho gusto.

Lately, I had visited some of your blogs, where I found often Journal quilts, so I went to find out, what was all about, so I found out, journal quilts, are 8 and a half inches per 11 inches, and they must be made every month, so, we can learn something new about quilting, at the end of the year, we can join all the quilts together to make a quilt, that way, we would see how much we have learn or improve.
So, I really liked this idea, and here you have my first journal quilt, October, I keep trying machine quilting, and I also worked the 9 patch losely, and ragged.
