Quilt Festival - Fall 2009
Decidi tomar parte del Festival de Quilts, Otono 2009, organizado por Amy, visiten su blog y tomen el tour, que las llevara a visitar lindos blogs y hermosas colchas.
Esta colcha la realize en el 2005, con telas de mi bolsa de retazos, los colores que elegi fueron los mas parecidos a los tonos de las hojas de maple en Otono, decidi alternarla con cuadros, la cenefa o borde es de una tira delgada en cafe, y otra mas gruesa, de 4 pulgadas, todas las hojas, tienen diferente forma, aplicadas a mano, y la acolche a mano.

I made this quilt in 2005, with fabrics from my scraps bag, I decide to made it with fabric with color of the maple leaves in Fall, I hand apliqued every leave on a white off square, and I made the same quantity of blocks with colored squares and white off stripes, the border is made with strip of 2 inches in blrown, and another strip of 4 inches in red, (the back is in the same red fabric), I hand quilted, and I gave it as a gift to a friend.
