Cathedral Window Quilt

Hace muchos años hice ésta colcha de Ventana de Catedral, una de mis favoritas, facil de hacer aunque laboriosa, cada vez que la enseñaba a mis alumnas, más de una se ponía a hacerla, pues no hay que acolcharla.

Visitando los blogs, me encontre con una tutoría muy buena, les pondré la liga para que la visiten y de ésta manera tendrán dos maneras de hacerla, mi manera de hacerla es un poco diferente y a mi me gusta mucho, pues todas las costuras quedan por dentro,

En ésta ocación les pongo una mini quilt, pero ustedes pueden hacer su colcha del tamaño que eligan, solo cambien el tamaño de los cuadros.


Many years ago, I made this Cathedral window quilt, for the colors is one of my favorites, every time I showed it to my students more than one wanted to make one, as there is no need to quilt it, and once you finish, it looks really outstanding.

This week I was visiting some of your blogs, and I found one with a great tutorial to make this quilt, my way is a little different, but I will put here the link of this blog, so you can go to visit it, and have two ways to make this quilt. My way is different in the beggining, I sew the block in a way all the edges are inside of the block. Reading this blog I also learned more about this block, its great to learn new tricks every day.

This time, Im making for you a mini quilt, but you can decide to make a mini quilt or a big one, just change the size of the block, I will give you both sizes.

Para el mini quilt. Corten 9 cuadros de 6 pulgadas por lado.
Para una colcha grande los cuadros deben de ser de 10 pulgadas por lado


For the mini quilt, cut 9 blocks of 6 inches
For a regular quilt I use to cut the blocks of 10 inches.
